Stop and Look

About

One method used for perfecting style is photography. Writers always take pictures of their work, both as a record and as a learning device. There is really no other way to study a piece on a train properly, since it rarely stands still long enough or in the right places. Dondi says: “That’s why we take pictures, ’ cause when we take pictures we see our own mistakes and the next time we go we get better and better.” -Subway Art

And so that is exactly what I did. I took photos of my graffiti and most of the graffiti that I was seeing, for almost 20 years. Photo albums multiplied, overflowing into shoeboxes spilling into piles of envelopes full of photos. Stop and Look is my digital shoebox, full of random graffiti flicks that I’ve personally gathered over the years. I hope you enjoy.
